Happiness

Health, Happiness and Well-being through psychology

Every person is facing various difficulties and hardships on each and every day. Irrespective of religion, race, profession, social status and education level we all have a same life story which contains probably three steps.
By combining the above three phenomena our mind get stressed and tensioned. Hence we are losing our health, well-being and basically the happiness from our life.

What is stress?

Stressor- Any environmental demand that creates a state of tension or threat and requires change or adaptation.
Anything that poses a challenge or a threat to our well-being is a stress.

There is good side as well as bad side from this stress condition. The good side is that some stresses get us going and motivate for a specific task. As an example during exam times we get the stress and we do work because of that motivation gives from the stress. But although we try to work hard during vacation times our mind doesn’t co-operate much with that. But what is harmful is the over stress. When we go through unnecessary stress, many dangerous things happen.

Stress affects for almost all the organs of our body. Increasing heart rate, respiration problem, sweating, blood pressure, gastritis, digestion problem and many other emotional changes happen.
From all of these what we lose is the Happiness.  We must maintain our well-being in order to maintain the stress level and to embrace the happiness. Well- being is in four categories as follows.
  •  Physical well-being
  • Mental well-being
  • Emotional well-being
  • Spiritual well-being

When we cure the tress conditions automatically the well=being is enhanced.

Causes or triggers of Stress and Anxiety

  •        Major life changes
  •        Inability to accept the uncertainty
  •      Relationship difficulties
  •       Work
  •      Financial problems
  •      Being too busy
  •      Pessimism
  •      Negative self-talk
  •      Unrealistic expectations and perfectionism

Always we must think conservatively on every condition. We must not over think or over react for any situation. We must give up the rumination. Then only we can maintain our well-being and give up this stress. If we are doing a job we must enjoy it. When we are happy our energy increases. Then the amount of work we can afford is higher than when we are sad.
